Club Charity 12/13 Season

Attention All Members - Sad News
The club has to report the sad news of the loss of committee member and club trustee Alan Sturgeon.

His long fight against cancer ended on Saturday May 14. He had been a club member for over 30 years. He will be missed on the banks of our waters and indeed in committee meetings. All our wishes and thoughts are with his family. The club will be making a donation in his memory.

Work Party Dates:
  Tinnevelds - April 22nd
  Lawrence Lake - 13th May & 10th June
More details from Peter Bareham / Jason Sykes

Changes to close season
I am pleased to report that Langham, Horkesley, and Tinnies will remain open for fishing, up to and including 31st May.  All other waters  (Cricket Pit, Lawrence Lake) are CLOSED for the traditional close season from the 15th March. These waters open again on the 16th June.

THE MATCH PIT
will remain open for fishing, up to and including 31st May. It will then remain closed all of June and July. Re-open on 1st August.

The gate code will change during each individual water's close season. Make sure your use the correct code. (Last years 11/12 code or new 12/13 code).

The way in which your membership works has altered. Your membership will lapse on midnight 15th March. To continue fishing club waters you must re-join any time after this date. This can be done via post to the Membership Sec. or at one of the clubs rejoining nights which are on 18th, 19th April and 2nd May. 2012. You may only fish club waters once you have rejoined.

Thanks to Peter Bareham for the photos showing the works to install a new carpark at the Cricket Pit. You can view the photos on the 'Club Fisheries Match & Cricket Pit photo page'.

News for Members
It has been brought to our attention person (s) unknown have been carrying out estates work at Langham, eg clearing brambles, paths etc. Whilst we encourage all members to assist in maintaining our waters, this must be agreed with the Estates committee team before work commences. This is to ensure everyones stays 'safe' and the correct work is carried out.

Club Rules

Please note that unauthorised wading will result in suspension or expulsion from the club. This particularly applies to the Match Pit which is part of a working quarry. If you have equipment stuck in a tree etc. contact the bailiffs who will help organise safe removal/recovery.

We have a number of members who have pleaded ignorance when brought before the Committee. All members have a Rule Book.

Please read it!

Access to Waters

We have been asked by landowners to ensure that the access to the waters is secured at all times.
Please do not leave any gates unlocked once you have passed through.
